Nominate a volunteer for the 2017 NS Trails awards

New nomination deadline: Monday, May 29 at 12 noon

We say it all the time: trails in Nova Scotia wouldn't exist without the hard work and dedication of volunteers. Help us celebrate their excellent and essential work: nominate your local trail champion(s) for one of our four categories:

  • Volunteer Trail Group of the Year Award
    Recognizes the accomplishments of a volunteer trail group within the trail movement in Nova Scotia with regards to trail development, management, promotion and/or advocacy. Nominees must belong to a NS Trails member organization.

  • Booster Award
    Recognizes a volunteer group for their promotion of trails and/or trail activities through organized events, learning opportunities, guided trail activities and media engagement targeting men, women, youth and families. Nominees must belong to a NS Trails member organization.

  • Champion for Youth Award
    Recognizes an individual, community group, agency or business for the promotion of youth participation on trails in Nova Scotia. Nominations are open to NS Trails members and the general public.

  • Trail Builder of the Year Award
    Recognizes a volunteer for their outstanding contribution, determination and dedication to trail building in the province. Nominees must belong to a NS Trails member organization.  

How to Nominate

  1. Nominee's name
  2. The award they are being nominated for
  3. Your contact information (i.e. the person submitting the nomination)
  4. The reason you are nominating this individual or group (i.e. why they deserve the award)
  5. Contact information for the nominee

Nominations must be submitted before Monday, May 29 at 12 noon. 

Winners will be announced and presented at the NS Trails Annual General Meeting on June 10, 2017.
